Services
Because of my younger sister's inability to travel, we will postpone services for Mom until March. Please visit again as we will post details when we know Dawn will be able to attend. Thanks to all for the calls and emails — please use this site as you wish as a forum for and about Mom.

I was just passed this website from one of my fellow thespians and wanted to express my heartfelt condolences to your family. Mama Rita as I liked to call her was my theater teacher at Eastwood for just two short years before her retirement. (96-98) She quickly became not only one of my favorite teachers, but one of my favorite friends. She often had me house sit for while she was up in the mountains, and I tried to remain in contact with her after I moved to Austin 8 years ago.

Words cannot express the amount of love and compassion she had for all of her students. I feel that without her I could have easily slipped through the cracks. But somehow, she saw something in me that I didn't quite see in myself and for that I am forever grateful.

Thank you Mama Rita, for all of the years of laughter, love and memories.

Sincerely,
Andra Litton

I knew Rits for 25 years in a number of ways, as a colleague, as a competitor, but most importantly as a friend. She loved her students with a passion that was a powerful statement of what a teacher should be. We worked on many projects together and she always had a ready laugh and a word of encouragement. Rita mada an impact on thousands of lives. Cancer can not defeat the power of her wonderful teaching skills. Those lives are a living testimony to her work, My prayers and my thoughts go out to the family at this difficult moment.
